Develop a groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind training program for Best Buy store staff to enhance the perceptions of Samsung home entertainment products and give staff memorable, immersive learning experiences to drive increased recommendation rates and conversion at retail.
We created the Samsung Immersive Learning Theater. An all-in-a-case training solution that transports the store staff to a focused learning environment with rich and engaging training content in VR.
This is an ongoing program, entering its fourth year in 2025. It grew from a successful 3-retailer and 6-trainer pilot in 2021, to currently a nationwide program covering hundreds of store locations across Best Buy and other channel retail partners via 50+ Samsung market sales managers.
To date, we have created 16 pieces of custom VR content which is actively in use to educate store staff on Samsung’s key product lines (Neo QLED, OLED, Freestyle, The Frame and soundbars) and overall brand messaging. Each VR module has been designed with annual updates in mind, ensuring key messaging and learning objectives are kept up-to-date.
Beginning in 2023, the Neo QLED and OLED modules have been leveraged for consumer education initiatives, scaling use of the content across multiple audiences.
Since launch, additional interactivity mechanics have been introduced, including knowledge checks, gamification and assessments - further increasing learner engagement and retention.
